• Choose a color palette, aiming for shades that compliment each other

• Create a focal point by choosing one standout bloom, or subbing a group of a few flowers together

• Incorporate filler flowers such as greenery (Eucalyptus is a favorite here) or baby’s breath

• Consider using a variety of petal shapes and textures

• Remove any leaves that fall below water line

• Add fresh water day or two, and completely replace water if it begins to look murky
